No, we do not.
Yes. With the number of people who wish to be seen, it would be pure chaos if we didn't limit to available appointments. We also need time to clean and disinfect the rooms between patients. Walk-ins are NOT allowed.
Every patient needs to have a scheduled appointment. We cannot take any walk-in patients, even if what we do only ends up taking 5 minutes.
We try to make exceptions for spouses, but otherwise, we do ask that your siblings, children, and extended family understand that they are new patients and need to be seen where we have those appointments available.
Sure can! We have completed our renovations and have plenty of space for people to sit. Come in and check in at our reception desk.
Yes! We now have a waiting room with enough space for a reasonable amount of waiting. Please understand though that none of the work we do will be completed while you wait, there is at least a 4 hour window (and usually our lunch!) before you can pick up a repair or reline. We ask that you do not camp out in our waiting room for the entire day. Thank you!
There are thousands of insurance companies. We are NOT IN-NETWORK with any insurance company. As long as your insurance pays to out-of-network providers as well as Licensed Denturists you should be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. For many insurance companies that we work with all the time we can give you an estimate of what they will pay. You are responsible for the entire amount of what we charge, regardless of what your insurance company actually pays. We can only ESTIMATE what they will pay, it is not a guaranteed amount. Insurance companies reserve the right to deny any claim for any reason and this is out of our control.
For the state of Maine, there are several dental insurance options through Medicare as supplements. As far as we know right now, United Healthcare and Aetna are the ones who have plans that pay here in our office but NOT the full amount of the work done in most cases and NOT all plans (AARP through UHC does not have denture coverage for example). We can try to ESTIMATE what they will cover but the patient WILL be responsible for whatever is not paid by the insurance. Martin's Point/NE Delta is in-network only and will not pay for work done in our office. Anthem BS/BS with Liberty Dental is in-network only and will not pay for work done in our office but you MAY be able to send them the receipt for partial reimbursement. Humana is In-Network only and does NOT pay to a Denturist. They will not pay for work done in our office. We have tried and have several patients who will very unhappily tell you that even though they were told the work was covered the claim was denied and the patient had to pay out of pocket. We will NOT accept Humana as payment, payment in full will be required. WellCare is in-network only and will not pay for work done in our office BUT if you have their HSA/FLEX credit card it may run through the credit card machine, but only if it's not the "Spendables" card, this is for groceries, not durable medical equipment and will be denied.
Yes, we do.
Unfortunately, yes we are. We are doing the best we can to see as many people as possible. We REALLY ARE giving you our next available appointment when you call.
Our well-trained staff should be able to answer most of the questions you have and will schedule any appointments you need. Since we have such a tight schedule, Joe, Cass and Mike are not usually available to take phone calls as they are in with patients. Anything that the staff cannot answer right away will be brought to them and they will either answer the question through the staff or call you back at their convenience. You will not get an earlier appointment if you try to go around the staff and schedule through them.
No, we do not. Our office hours are posted and we are closed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Since an appointment is always needed it is best to call our office before coming over.
No, we do not. We work hard to make sure that our dentures and partials are affordable for everyone.
The denture or partial must be paid in full to leave the building (other than any pending insurance payment). You can make prepayments prior to making the denture and we can begin once you are down to your last payment. This is done interest-free and if at any time you need part or all of what you pre-paid returned to you we can return it in the way we received it. If someone else sent a check on your behalf, the check would be returned to them. If it is paid via credit card we would do a refund to the credit card. This may delay when you start on your denture and why we don't begin until we know there is only 1 payment left. We also accept CareCredit and have applications in our office. They would pay us in full and you would be responsible for monthly payments to them.
Adjusting to a new set of false teeth, including partial dentures, can take time and patience, but proper denture adjustment is key to ensuring a comfortable fit. Adjustments may be necessary for those using partial dentures, as your gums and jaw adapt to the new appliance. Regular check-ins with your dental provider are essential to address any discomfort or alignment issues. Small adjustments can make a big difference in preventing sore spots or ensuring your bite feels natural. Whether you're wearing a full set of false teeth or partial dentures, taking the time to monitor changes and seek adjustments when needed will help you enjoy a seamless dining and speaking experience. Don’t hesitate to contact us at Smile Again Dentures to ensure your dentures fit perfectly and serve you well.
